Press Release

March 4, 2026

Dear clients,

In light of the current instability and security measures in the Middle East, we would like to inform you that international transport (sea, air and/or land) may be affected by operational changes beyond our control, resulting from decisions made by shipping lines, airlines, port/airport authorities and security agencies.

Possible impacts on operations

  • Longer transit times due to route deviations, additional stopovers or rescheduling.
  • Changes in itineraries and loading/unloading windows (blank sailings, cancellations, rollovers and rescheduling).
  • Capacity limitations and fluctuations in equipment/space availability.
  • Potential additional costs related to security surcharges, insurance, fuel, congestion and/or extraordinary measures applied by third parties.
  • Frequent ETA/ETD updates and increased planning volatility.

Measures we are implementing

  • Continuous monitoring with carriers and agents at origin/destination.
  • Assessment of alternative routes and hubs to minimise disruptions.
  • Prioritisation of critical shipments and proactive communication of changes.
  • Review of quotations with reduced validity where applicable, due to rate/surcharge fluctuations.

Recommendations for clients

To reduce the risk of delays or additional costs, we recommend:

  • Planning shipments further in advance and allowing for extended transit times.
  • Confirming reservations/bookings as early as possible.
  • Remaining flexible with dates and, where feasible, considering alternative routes or services.
  • Sending complete documentation on time (invoice, packing list, HS, DG if applicable) to avoid delays or holds.
  • Please note that any surcharge applied by third parties will be communicated and passed on as applicable.

Conditions and scope

The impacts described depend on external factors and may vary by trade lane, mode of transport and country. In the event of significant disruptions, we will inform you as quickly as possible and propose alternatives.
